Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking began in the 1970’s, developing and improving ever since. Parks and trails have opened all over England. Mountain Biking is a great activity for everyone, especially children and young people. They develop physical strength, techniques and endurance.

Cramlington Voluntary Youth Project run accredited schemes that involve a lot of bike riding and basic bike maintenance. Core skills, road safety, local bike rides and some off road trails increase young people confidence. Some even take part in expedition or link to long term programmes.
