Last Wednesday Evening our young people traveled to the Marriott Hotel in Gosforth for the annual NE Youth Projects with Pride Awards.  Young people from projects all over the North East were invited to enjoy an evening of entertainment and awards, where all their hard work over the last year was celebrated and recognised. Packed full of performances the awards also included a performance from our very own Nissi-K who performed ‘Read all about it’ and The Greatest Showman’s ‘This is Me’ on the night alongside Brooke & Paddy who respectively played the drums and guitar for her performance. Giving a spectacular performance Nissi-K also received a V-Inspired award for 50 hours of volunteering on the night. She was joined by other young people in this achievement who received their V30 for 30 hours of volunteering and V100 for an amazing 100 hours of volunteering.  If anyone would like to view Nissi-K’s performance from the night clips are available on our Twitter page @cvyp0.

Also receiving an award on the evening was Dani Heron who won the Young Achiever of the year award and was shortlisted for the Young Volunteer of the year award. Dani was very surprised to be announced as a shortlisted young person with the nomination having been kept a surprise by our staff running up to the event. Another award achieved by the project was the Partnership award with Helix Arts for the work completed on the #OFFTHEBEAT project which has been ran for the last two years.

Overall the evening was great success and we are incredibly proud of all our young people who won awards on the evening, once again showing how hard working our young people of CVYP are.
