Adult Daytime Provision

The new adult daytime provision is available for adults (18-25yrs) with mild to moderate disabilities. Focusing on independent living skills, health and well-being and activity-based workshops.

The day-time provision is led by the participants to ensure that they are developing the skills they desire as well as providing access to award schemes which will benefit them now and in the long term.

With a programme tailored to each individual which walks through the door we offer each of the adults, the opportunity to gain new skills through taking part in award schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh, John Muir and the Arts award. Carving their own journey to independence and adulthood.

Healthy Eating Workshops are a regular feature were the young adults work to devise their own menus and explore whatโ€™s the best things for them to eat. Cooking plays an essential part in this as they learn how to create these healthy meals and learn basic food hygiene as they prepare their meals alongside their friends.

Physical activity is a key part of our Duke of Edinburgh award and promotes a healthy lifestyle. Giving the opportunity to join in with various sports such as basketball, rounders and archery. The adults select their own activities for keeping fit.

Life skills and independent living skills where young adults gain skills that will benefit them now and in the future. Each are taught at an individual level in order to meet the needs of the group. Covering topics such as budgeting, household responsibilities, and independent travel.

Regular trips into the local area, give the young adults the opportunity to socialise and interact with the local community and have fun. Some trips may include Airbox Bounce, amusement parks, restaurants and many more. Further activities which the young adults partake in may include, team building, music and recreation.
