An Evening of Celebration…. December 2019

At the end of December we invited our young people into CVYP to take part in a celebration evening in recognition of all their hard work over the year. Joined by their friends and families, they enjoyed an evening of entertainment put on by our young people who hosted the evening.  Certificates were presented by Cramlington’s Town Mayor, Loraine De Simone and Ruth Collins, NE operations manager for the the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.

Recieving awards including their Bronze & Silver Duke of Edinburgh, Bronze Arts Award and John Muir Awards. Our young people also performed new music which they had produced at a residential a few weeks before the event.  Staff were presented with their awards at the evening as well including our staff recieving their Level Three in Youth Work.

Town Mayor Loraine De Simone congratulated the event organisers adding ” Well done to all these young people – I hope they enjoyed the awards evening which rightly highlighted their achievements – they are a credit to the town.

Again a massive congratulations to all our young people and thanks to our town mayor Loraine De Simone and Ruth Collins from D of E  and our Chair Pauline Thompson for coming along to present the awards to our young people and staff.
