POSBO’s of 2017 which were hosted at the Baltic, Gateshead. Dani Heron won Young Volunteer of the year and Sarah Wynn was shortlisted for Young Carer of the year. Tammi Cartwright was also shortlisted for Youth Worker of the year.

Stacie Cox, Youth Activity and Outdoor Coordinator, who achieved her Mountain Leader status.

Other achievements made by young people include the achievement of the Discover and Explore Arts Awards in the Adult Special Need group. Having worked with Paddy from Helix Arts, our young people enjoyed writing their own songs and using the Makey Makey machine to create their own sounds. Each created a portfolio of work showing off their individuality and what they had learnt about the arts while they completed the award.

Other staff achievements include a Gold Arts Award Youth Work Qualifications, Duke of Edinburgh Leader, and Archery Instructor coaching badges and Arts Award advisor to our young people.
